Experimental Folk Rock All Over The World
Vialka is a duo of Eric Boros (guitar & voice) and Marylise Frecheville (percussion & voice). They are on world tour permanently since their formation in 2002 with their very strange experimental folk rock music. Naturally they have some special international projects also. Dear Concert Organizers in Budapest!
Saul Conrad is a classically-trained musician from the US. Almost impossible to categorize his peculiar music: experimental chamber „pop” with surprising key changes, nonsensical rhythmic shifts, overlapping melodies and folky elements. Moreover his 32 years old parrot Chico to accompany him at hometown shows. Chico pretty much always sings his name, or throws in a few phrases. He can totally follow a melody, and change keys, and he has rhythm. On his 1st Euro tour Saul Conrad would like to play in Budapest in middle of January. They write about their genre that is POP. Noisy, indie and British
Childhood – 7″ by Speedy Wunderground Records. The label was formed in early 2013 by the producer Dan Carey. He worked together with Franz Ferdinand, Bat For Lashes, TOY, Django Django, Emiliana Torrini, The Kills, Kylie Minogue, Tame Impala among others. The Speedy Wunderground works under strict rules: Dan will produce all releases. All records will be recorded at Dan’s South London studio. Recording of all records will be done in one day and finish before midnight. Mixing will be done the day following the recording, also in one day only. There will be no lunch break during these days. The core of each song will be a live take recorded in the dark with smoke and lazers and somewhere on each record the Swarmatron (a hand-built analogue synthesiser) will make an appearance. The recordings will appear in limited runs of 250 7”s.
