Psych garage noise wave from our Italian friends, Trio Banana. Cactus
from the EP ‘Arthur Dent‘ by Bubca Records
It’s a band of Luca from Trans Upper Egypt (somewhere between Silver Apples, Suicide and Dead Moon), The Ultra Twist (garage rock, free download), E.X.P. (psychedelic rock, free download), The Nackers (60s fuzzy garage rock, free download) and many more. All is recommended.

Aussie big city folk in electro-acoustic junk pop style, spiced with ambient garbage. Maybe the instruments and the tunes are from a dump or the Moon, where is „A place wherein is wonderfully stored / Whatever on our earth below we lose. / Collected there are all things whatsoe’er, / Lost through time, chance, or our own folly, here.”* The sound is like as if it would come straight from a trashcan. Perfect.

Xiu Xiu is a famous experimental band. Many times on many site I red that it’s very good and very artistic, so I tried to make friends with their music, but it didn’t work. „Interesting” – thought about the previous Nina Simone cover album, but I will never listen to it again. Thanks, but there’re the originals. I have listened to their new album many times. Electronic noise, melancholic melodies, goth style lamentation, screams and cries. That’s all and not more. Too good and too artistic for me.

LYUHÁSZ LYÁCINT BT feat ZADAM CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPANY
Brontez Purnell is a singer-songwriter. His musical stations: gospel choir in homeland, Alabama > punk in California > with Hunx in the electro clash Gravy Train!!! as Junx > The Younger Lovers: lo-fi garage punk and pop, spiced with 60s girl group’s style and interspersed with Pixies-like indie music. It stands close the world of Hunx & His Punx and Shannon & The Clams. But this is a little bit different: My Tears Are Wasted
from the album ‘Sugar In My Pocket‘ by Soutpaw Records

My fav Mexiacan band beside the disbanded XYX is Lorelle Meets The Obsolete Heavy psychedelic garage rock. „Haunted songs about the uncertain” – said Mr. Obsolate
Chamber LP by Captcha
Suggest: listen to their live album!

It’s not a good, but also not a too bad album inside its own style: mainstream-like indie pop (or in reverse) with a little psych taste sometimes. There’re some good tracks, but all in all this album is not too exciting and too long. There is stuff for a good EP only. Moreover I don’t understand the first track. It’s such terrible that you stop the music immediately.

Italian garage rock > GO!ZILLA WESTERN EURO TOUR JAN-FEB: Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, France, Belgium. There is one more guitarist in the band!
It can’t be denied that ST VINCENT is a new alternative middle ground superstar (like Björk), but I really don’t understand why? Her music isn’t such good and original as some people think. There will be few shows in Europe in February: Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, London, Manchester, Dublin. Her new album is out on 24/25 Feb. A track

„Everytime I come back to Europe I am first reminded of how much easier it is to exist as a fringe artist in this part of the world. Not only do the people in general have a deeper education and appreciation of art but the support that comes from the elders of the society here is something that is nothing if not completely honorable.” – Scott Kelly

A Belgian beer + a terrorist + a Finnish composer in a French man: Orval Carlos Sibelius. Once he played abstract electronic dance music, but now making very good psychedelic folk pop with 70’s British psych folk feeling and a little bit of surf influence. Asteroids

Orval Carlos Sibelius: vox, electric, acoustic and bass guitars, drums, percussions, organ, electric piano, synthetizers, oud, guzheng, ukelin, autoharp, glockenspiel, tamboa, charango. All songs are written by him.

The London Dirthole Company started as a two piece project in London in 2002 by Kirsten Reynolds and Ashley Davies as simple Dirthole. Within weeks this duo had become a 10-piece garage punk band: 4 stand-up drummers, 4 guitarists, bassist and singer. They have written as influence: The Fall, Velvet Underground and The Monks. Their music also reminds me of Dog Faced Hermans and The Ex.
Sounding Alley Tapes LP by Phono Erotic (UK) and Squoodge Records (Germany)
Kirsten Reynolds is a many sided artist, she has started her musical career as a sculptor, who built sculptural instruments. Learnt to play on drums and joined pyrotechnic metal percussion ensemble The Bow Gamelan in 1990. After playing on drums and bass in noise band Headbutt. In a Euro tour’s empty hours together with Ashley Davies they have created the Dark Project. The Mythological Horses are the first Alaskan band during the 9 years stroy of RNR666, so they’re the best Alaskan band. Similar garage punk like Hunx & His Punx and Lover! (it’s a project of Rich Crook from The Reatards and Lost Sounds)
self titled LP by Hoover Craft
For those who dig hispanic garage rock and miss Davila 666 here are three highly recommended Latino rock bands to become fans of – especially if you’re looking for bands without the unwanted over-hype but with the energy of bands before their first LPs
Los Blenders are coming from Mexico City and they are just about to become well-known worldwide with their dreamy tunes fully soaked in reverb. Meta y dinero ruled over many music bloggers and their previous releases also have everything we really love about hispanic rock. This music reminds me of wanting to remain a kid/girl forever – what else do you need?

Mesa Cosa is a band from Mexico with an eclectic stage image – a short Mexican guy, a tall tambourine guy and … yes, saxophones. Their first and very promising EP Infernal Cakewalk came out in 2012 (I’d better post about it later than never, right?) so I bet it’s high time they came out with something new, hopefully they are still together. They basically play a powerful blend of The Stooges, Los Saicos, classic surf tunes and I guess they listen to all sorts of freak out music of the 00’s.
Eva & John is a Peruvian band from Lima and they are playing reverby epic noise pop songs, to which everyone wants to sing and jump around after a couple of drinks. With only two songs available so far (on a flexi single, which are probably still for sale) they managed to appear on numerous end of the year lists – on my personal one as well <3
