Some thoughts about Sieur et Dame – Amour et Papouasie (Love and Papua) album by Kythibong Records
Hey Sieur et Dame! Million merci for your new album. It is the best, most interesting and most peculiar record of recent years for me. When I got it, I listened to it three times in succession, and was flabbergasted. Oh my God! What is it? And it is a difficult question. Such like a renaissance market-place knock-about farce or an opera-buffa, or something musical Commedia dell’arte. Starring an angel and a gnome, aka the Beauty and the Beast. And they slip into different costumes as the comedy require. And there mixing the ecclesiastical and the popular secular music of the renaissance and baroque era: the Italian origin frottola, canzonetta and madrigal, flamenco and medieval rhythms like tarantella. Plus hip-hop. It’s sometimes so much polyphonic as if there two different bands would play side by side. Exceedingly surreal.
Maybe the best Kythibong Records release ever:
Claire and Etienne were lovers. Claire got strict Catholic education, studied lyrical singing and works in a national choir, speaking fluent ancient Latin and collecting roadkilled frogs. Etienne is a ferocious self-taught musician. He started his musical career as a drummer of a Berber music band at the age of 15. While Claire joined a Palestine music group at 18. After various genres, styles, groups and collaborations they have founded Sieur et Dame in 2006.
I hope their little travelling circus to start eastward soon.

An interview with Susi, the bass player of German noise rock trio, Don Vito about music, travelling and friendship
What was the music milieu like around you in Leipzig when you grew up? Who made the most significant impression on you in this period?
Well, we live in Leipzig since 2001. We all grew up in different cities around Magdeburg, a city 140 km north of Leipzig. That’s why it’s a bit hard to answer your question. Our guitar player used to listen to Hardcore when he was young, the drummer was a pure Punk and my own taste was chameleonic. During these years there were so many things, who influenced us, not only the music we liked/like and the bands we’ve in before, also the life itself, books, political circumstances, weather, family, friends, world… But I think the Fall of the Wall was the most significant impression in our youth.
How your music taste was being shaped by each other during the years?
As we know each other for decades it was a natural growing process. Someone came up with something new, the other liked it (or not) from the first moment, later or never ;). When you have 3 open-minded persons with different tastes of music, the individual taste grows a lot.

„After ten years as a „band” Pink Reason has decided to call it quits. Be on the lookout for our last record titled „Eternal Exile,” it should be available early 2014. Thanks to everyone who helped out a long the way.” – Kevin
Pink Reason was one of the most influential lo-fi punk band. It was founded by Kevin De Broux. He spent his teen age years in Siberia, so he would be a punk there, and got under the influence of Russian underground music.
I don’t understand his announcement, because there never were fixed members except for him. He made some records alone and did some one man tours with an acoustic guitar. So maybe Pink Reason is finished as a band only, and the one man Pink Reason still alive.

Nem mindennapi élményben lesz része annak, aki október 14.-én ellátogat a budapesti Dürer Kertbe , ahol a Natural Child, utóbbi idők legjobb rhythm’n’ blues, hard rock’n’roll zenekara ad koncertet. Az együttes három nagylemez és Észak-Amerika tomboló sikerű többszöri szétkoncertezése után, első európai turnéja során érkezik hazánkba.

A Natural Child 2009-ben az amerikai zene egyik bölcsőjében, Nasville-ben született. Muzsikájukban garázs rock, blues és punk elemek keverednek. Az évek folyamán punkos lendületüket megőrizve egyre inkább a rockzene gyökerei felé fordultak, erőteljesebb lett a blues, keményebb a rock, s muzsikájukban a country is megjelent. Hangzásuk nemrég azzal teljesedett ki, hogy nagy meglepetésre egy slide-citerás meg egy orgonista csatlakozásával öttagúra bővült a csapat.

NATURAL CHILD (USA) + SUPERNAKED
An uncommon experience is waiting for you on the 14th October in Budapest at the Dürer Kert where Natural Child, the best rhythm’n’blues, hard rock’n’roll band of recent years will give a show. After three albums and several smashing North American tours the band is coming to Europe for the first time.
In 2009 Natural Child was born in Nashville as a trio mixing garage rock, blues and punk elements in their music. During the years they have been influenced by the roots of rock and roll, so their blues burns with more power, their rock has a pretty heavy taste and they also add country elements to their music, while they just simply keep the élan of punk. Their sound recipe has evolved recently when a pedal steel guitar and an organ player have also joined the band.
If Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin or Black Sabbath would form now, they would play roughly similar music. And to see these bands in a small club is a most fantastic experience, just as you can see Natural Child in October. And for Natural Child everything is yet to come
On October 14 at Dürer Kert in Budapest
will be the debut of Supernaked too. The band has formed from the members of one-time Diomede Dirtfuzz and Romania. The Diomede Dirtfuzz played Cream-like psychedelic blues rock astonishingly well. The Romania was a notorious punk band, who became a legend after their recent break up.
