„Meg, Richie, and I spent a lot of time drinking beer. At the time we asked her to be in the band, her lack of experience on drums was no greater than our lack of experience on guitars, so it wasn’t all that unusual. I think she’s really come into her own bashing away and is the absolute best drummer for Watery Love” to play heavy listening raw noisy garage punk.
Decorative Feeding LP and a 7″ by a competent authority: In The Red Records (US).
But Meg leaved the band so as to concentrate her absolutely different solo career. She was replaced by Ben from Philadelphian highly praised psych-blues-rock-jam band Birds Of Maya. (Another bird is in the Purling Hiss too.)
TM45, egyébként a következőképpen emlékszik vissza a bulira, vagyis annak, kissé „angolosra” sikeredett végkifejletére:
„el se köszönt a kis genya, úgy lépett le a színpadról. azt hittük még visszajön, csak egy kis frissítőre ugrott ki a haverjával, és otthagyta a gumipók lemezlovast, de egyszer csak elkezdték leszedni a kamerákat (mármint nem azt amit, például, Morningdeer Kriszta tart a kezében a képen – a szerk.), aztán a dj is felvette az angol rendőrkabátját és ő is távozott. villany fel, húzás a faszba.”

Jeffrey Lee Pierce was an influential songwriter and musician. He formed The Gun Club with Kid Congo Powers in 1979. Anyway Pierce was the head of the Blondie fan club, while Kid was the president of Ramones Fan Club in Los Angeles, and both of Mexican descent. The band was a pioneer of roots based punk rock. Kid Congo left the band before the recording of the first album to join The Cramps, but later came back more times. Later both joined Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds. Gun Club had lots of line-up change because of Pierce drug abuse and alcoholism. Nick Cave said: „He looked increasingly ill, I mean, we all did, but Jeffrey looked particularly so.” He died from brain hemorrhage at the age of 37 in 1996. He was HIV positive, and also suffering from cirrhosis and chronic hepatitis.
Cypress Grove was one of his collaborators of his delta blues influenced album which was released in 1992. After Pierce’s death Grove found a cassette containing unfinished song skeletons that he and Jeffrey had recorded. These were given out to some artists – friends, former band members and fans – to make own versions. On the first album We Are Only Riders (2010) and second one The Journey Is Long (2012, LISTEN!): Ravenoettes, Mark Lanegan, Debbie Harry, Nick Cave, Lydia Lunch, Mick Harvey, Kid Congo Powers, David Eugene Edwards (16 Horsepower), Sadies, Isobel Campbell, Barry Adamson, Warren Ellis (The Dirty Three), Tex Perkins, Tav Falco, Hugo Race and many others.

„Slumberland began operations in 1989 as a collective effort consisting of members of DC area bands Velocity Girl, Big Jesus Trash Can/Whorl, Black Tambourine and Powderburns. We were inspired by such musical happenings as C-86, early Creation, Postcard, K, Bus Stop, lower East Side noise, and also the renegade art aesthetics of people like Cage, Burroughs and Duchamp. The explosion of punk had left behind a thriving network of ‘zines, labels and distributors and we felt that there was room for our noise-loving, pop-obsessed aesthetic. While there were loads of US indie labels releasing a steady stream of 7″s, there wasn’t much pop going on.”

Gold-Bears second album is on the way: Atlanta’s noise-pop greats are back with their second album. Dalliance is more focused and abrasive than that 2011 debut, combining their noise-pop influences from forebears like Boyracer and The Wedding Present with shades of the post-hardcore and post-punk. The Pains of Being Pure At Heart are back! Brooklyn Indie Pop stalwarts The Pains of Being Pure at Heart just announced their third LP entitled Days of Abandon. The first single from the record, „Simple And Sure.” Listen ti it here. Order
Devon Williams‘ third solo album is a tour de force of shimmering, melodic pop, seamless blend of power-pop, orchestrated soft-rock and layered, complex jangle-pop that recalls such forebears as The Church, Felt and Aztec Camera. Listen to Flowers. Order

Rip van Winkle is a short story about a Dutch settler who escapes to the mountains from his naggin wife. He meets a group silent, bearded men who are playing nine-pins. Rip does not ask who they are, instead, he begins to drink some of their moonshine* and soon falls asleep for 20 years, so sleeping through the American War of Independence (1775-83). This is told by Shannon & The Clams in 50s style dirty sweet rock and roll

„The Trashmen covering Jimmy Reed” is said by Flesh Wounds about their trashy punk rock’n’roll music. This style is unusual from Merge Records (US). Good direction. Keep it up!

BLACK PUS is „raucous and otherworldly” solo drum project of Brian Chippendale, the drummer of hard noise rock duo Lightning Bolt. He has been chosen by Björk and The Flaming Lips as a collaborator and played on Lee “Scratch” Perry’s Repentance album (2008). OOZING WOUND is a classic, but a little unorthodox thrash metal band, because there aren’t guitar solos. In May 2013 they opened up for Black Pus in their hometown Chicago… These songs aren’t from the split! Just as samples
