The guitarist Kid Congo’s career
1976: At age of 16 he started The Ramones Unofficial Fan Club in Los Angeles.
1979: Started The Gun Club with Jeffrey Lee Pierce.
1980: Moved to New York, joined The Cramps and played on two albums.
1984: Rejoined The Gun Club, moved to London, founded The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, then The Fur Bible. 1986: Moved to Berlin, joined Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and played with Die Haut, Lydia Lunch and Anita Lane.
from 1990: Back to LA and founded the Congo Norvell > Moved to NY in the second half of 90s and founded the Knoxville Girls with Bob Bert – drums (Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Boss Hog, Action Swingers, Bewitched, Chrome Cranks) and Jerry Teel – vocals, guitar (Honeymoon Killers, Chrome Cranks, Boss Hog) > He has founded Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds and started a project with the electronic musician Khan featuring Julee Cruise in 2001.

A 96. RNR666 buli valamikor a XIX. század vége felé kezdődött Amerikában a blues megszületésével. A Mississippi-deltában fekete vándorzenészek járták a vidéket gyalogszerrel, stoppal, a vasút harmadik osztályán, vagy tehervonatra felkapaszkodva, hogy ültetvényeken, építkezéseken, utcasarkokon, csehókban, táncmulatságokon szórakoztassák a népeket, köztük a világ legnagyobb hatású, már-már mitikus gitárosai, Charley Patton (1891?-1938), és a legenda szerint a lelkét az ördögnek eladó Robert Johnson (1911-1938). Ezek a kóbor muzsikusok azér’ persze össze-összeálltak, és alkalmanként helyi zenészek is csatlakoztak hozzájuk. A gitár mellett legfeljebb egy szájharmonika, esetleg egy mosódeszka, nagyon ritkán egy pianínó alkotta a hangszerparkot. A dob csak a negyvenes években került elő.
Valami hasonló érkezik Brazíliából Budapestre november 23.-án. A Fabulous Go-Go Boy From Alabama Luis Tissot egyszemélyes neandervölgyi rock’n’roll zenekara. Zenéjében blues, rockabilly és garázs rock keveredik. Tissot – a dél-amerikai garázs rock élet egyik motorja – szinte állandóan úton van. Rengeteg együttesben zenél különböző hangszereken. A Moses Complex-et, a Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds gitárosával, az ausztrál Hugo Race-szel alakította, ebben basszusgitáron játszik.
