P.K. 14 (Public Kingdom for Teens) is the most influential Chinese post-punk band. The singer, Yang Haisong is one of China’s  better-known young poets. Their music is influenced by Joy Division, Talking Heads, Television, Pere Ubu, Fugazi, Bauhaus, Wilco and more. The album „1984” was recorded in Chicago with Steve Albini!

It’s released in August on CD and digitally by Maybe Mars Records, but now it’s on vinyl too by  Tenzemen.

Yang Haisong has two sideprojects. Dear Eloise – electro noise pop with his wife, and After Argument – shows his interests in Washington D.C. punk bands.

This year the first RNR666 Party was an
International Synth Punk Meeting in Budapest
on Feb 7 at Trafik Klub

Black Bug – a Swedish / French synth-punk band from Bordeaux. The band was formed by Johan and Lily between two beers in a little Swedish industrial city in 2006. Their sound was formed by experiments with a distorted bass guitar and a distorted child pianino. They moved to French. Then Lily quit. Johann decided to go on doing it alone, but met with Antoine (La Secte du Futur), who joined to him. The third member would be Tibo from the Complications and Destination Lonely.

Csermanek LTP – „I’m punk since when I was 12, but since 2 month I’m a strong new wave fan.” Hungarian synth-punk cabaret.

Broken Cups – One of the best bands of new wave of Hungarian synth-punk.

The next day the show was in Szolnok at the legendary Tomi Büfé also, but instead of Broken Cups there played the Óvantag.
