There is the network of Finnish Cultural Institutes at promoting the Finnish language and culture in the world. Just a call or a mail: Excuse me Ms/Mr Korhonen, do you know the finenesses of unique Finnish hardcore-punk?
The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench,
a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free,
and good men die like dogs.

Hey guys! You’re Mr. Elevator and The Brain Hotel! You’re doin’ fuckin’ good things! What’s the style?
Hey, thanks man! The style? I guess if you combined a lot of hair, burritos, and bad jokes all at once in a weird magical spell it’d come out being somewhat of something like us….
You make many kinds of music like garage-psych-glam-pop-punk-rock in other bands as Feeding People, Cosmonauts*, Peach Kelli Pop, etc. How came the idea of the new style and band?
Mr. Elevator, like Moses, was a calling to us from a burning bush. A female’s burning bush.
Your music reminds me of The Doors and the Silver Apples (are an American pioneer psychedelic synth-drums duo. The group was active between 1967 and 1969. Reformed in 1996. – editor’s note), but sometimes the Madness come to my mind too. What is your opinion?
All great bands man. There are very few bands that really gave light to what an organ or just piano related instruments can do and sound like. Ray did a very fine job though.. RIP (e.n: Ray Manzarek was the organ player of The Doors. He passed away on May 20.)
Your name is very strange LSD-flavored. Were there some other alternatives?
We started actually as an all water zodiac signed jam band called Tropical Fish. Played a handful of shows with that name and a very obscure set of songs hahah but the name is actually a reference to a Donovan song. The ultimate musical mystic!
Your brilliant 1st LP is coming soon or…?
Soon! We’re re-recording what we just worked on the past few months because it just didn’t come out how we envisioned it. We have so many songs and not one album yet.. so expect a little something soon
Please offer some favorite local bands!
Froth! Mystic Braves! (Formerely known as Blackfoot Braves.) Jeffertiti’s Nile! Cool Ghouls! too many man good local music everywhere these days
And now please tell me a bizarre or a funny or a weekday story that happened in your circles nowadays!
Running Lolipop Records in Echo Park, we get a lot of strange encounters with homeless/batshit crazy folks. All ranging around supreme racial pride, death threats, and lactose intolerant homeless
What is your message to the readers?
You’re right where you ought to be why can’t you ever see everything you want is right here.

The history of The Bloody Hollies has begun in 1999, when Wesley Doyle (vocals, guitar, harp) demobilized from the Marine Corps and formed the band with a buddy – by his own admission – under the influence of AC/DC, DEVO, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion and The Oblivians. Besides, because of the slide guitar and Wesley’s singing voice their music resembles to the Australian Rose Tattoo too.
Their 1st album has released by a relatively unknown label, Garage-Pop, but the second one come out with Sympathy for the Record Industry. Some label mates: White Stripes, Bassholes, Billy Childish, Bob Log, GG Allin, Melvins, Mummies, R.L. Burnside, Roky Erickson, Oblivians, Spacemen 3, Tav Falco and so on. The band has moved from Buffalo (NY) to the other sites of the States, San Diego (CA). (I think it is the most remote city from Buffalo within US.) Their last three albums have released by the Alive Records, and they don’t roll the shit.
Euro tour dates Netherlands, Germany, France, Serbia, Hungary, Italy

Once upon a time „the Axemen began life as a seething mass of algae in a cess-pool located at the back of a disused factory somewhere in North Dunedin, New Zealand. The exact location of the cess-pool has unfortunately been lost to the ravages of time, but the factory still stands – a disused, vacant shell with little hope of being restored to its former majesty. Following a sudden meteor storm in 1983, the Axemen rapidly evolved, developed fully functional hands and ears (where before there had only been useless stumps) and metamorphosed rapidly into one of the most radical, chaotic and inspired rock bands of all time.” & so on.
They were one of the World most killingly funny bands but no one knew about it before the internet age. Beside many own released cassettes they has released three albums by the legendary Flying Nun Records. Prices of these items are extremely high nowadays. (For example the Peter Wang Pud used CD is 25-80 Euros, the vinyl are between 35-100 Euros.)
Suitable phrases for their music: radically independent do-it-yourself lo-fi garage art punk. But „I hung out with the Hare Krishnas in Christchurch for a little bit. They used to have free vegetarian dinners on Sunday nights. The music was pretty cool. There was sort of a Beatles connection with Hare Krishna. Stu was really into John Lennon. We were all Beatles fans.” Moreover their last cassette was a tribute album to Elton John in 1992. It’s so frightening, is not it? When I first met with them in 2011 I cried out „Oh my God! What is it?”
The first video is a rare and baffling TV performance in a Saturday morning kid show in 1991. The song (Hey Alice!) turns into a promo for their just released CD. I’m sure, many New Zealander children cried for Axemen CD after the show.
And the destiny has reached him too. They have become discovered. Their albums were re-released in the US by Siltbreeze. And now here is the new, yes the new Axemen album! Sac Tap Nut Jam. It’s less chaotic like the usual. A song from it.
