They stand before Euro Tour Aug 5 – Oct 19 > Italy, France, Belgium, UK, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Austria, Croatia (Zagreb, Sept 18), Spain. Luckily they don’t want to save the World – „What do you daydream about when you are travelling to and from shows? – Buy a house in Uruguay by the beach with goats and ducks and growing tomatoes and buying really nice shoes.” – so I like them.

The Destruction Unit started as a synth-punk solo project by Ryan Rousseau (Reatards, Black Sunday, Digital Leather etc.) in Memphis in 2000. Then Jay Reatard (Reatards, Lost Sounds, etc.) and Alicja Trout (Lost Sounds, Black Sunday, River City Tanlines etc.) joined to him. The first 2 DU album made by them. The band has been through many members and sounds. At the moment they play psychedelic space hard rock, but „we all come from punk backgrounds and we’ve always been a punk band.”
